CASHEW NUTS

  • Cashew nuts are highly nutritious, rich in essential nutrients such as magnesium, calcium, phosphorus, copper, iron, potassium, zinc, and vitamins K, C, B1, B2, B3, B6, and more. With high levels of magnesium and calcium, cashews are excellent for heart health (supporting blood flow regulation) and bone strength. Additionally, the healthy fatty acids in cashew nuts help lower the risk of gallstones, anemia, and complications related to diabetes. Nowadays, cashew milk and other plant-based alternatives are increasingly used by children as a healthier substitute for cow's milk. Pregnant women are also switching to consuming nuts to ensure proper nutrition and overall health throughout pregnancy.
  • Regular consumption of cashews can also promote shiny, healthy hair and help reduce age-related vision problems, UV damage, and macular degeneration.
  • Cashew kernels contain Proanthocyanidins (PACs), a powerful antioxidant that helps inhibit the growth of cancer cells.

  • Cashew nuts can also be processed into syrups used to treat coughs and colds. Cashew oil (when diluted and applied) is used to treat cracked heels, blisters, eczema, psoriasis, and syphilitic sores.
